One advantage of the 'slower' 2Gb cards is a standard reader will see them, the SDHC ones need a dedicated unit, usually supplied, but I don't know if they work on USB 1 systems(?)

Good choice Mac...

...just update everything!

My K110 accepts a Sandisk 4Gb card, I've upgraded to the latest software on the camera and it's all fine.

Suggest you update the camera software Mac.

Really like the yellow submarine, Sorry I mean the moving taxi!

It's number 3 in the first set for me as well. Not too sure about the red and blue borders, they draw the eye away from the main image.

Sorry for the small file size Martin, that was to make the images load faster!

Thanks to everybody for your comments so far.

That's funny though. I have a brilliant K20D now, but still feel a sentiment to my old, reliable Zenit
and the problem with sentiments for your Zenith is....

I still have mine , my daughter had one given and has used it, and I have a collection of Pentax bodies as well, the latest being a Honeywell Spotmatic.

After using digital for the past few years I find it refreshing and slower using film again.

Stick a film in your Zenith and get back to basics.

I seem to echo Hefty's way of shooting!

we never met until the forum, we live indifferent parts of the country but we seem to have the same way of working and similar ethics for our photography.

The only big difference is I prefer to limit my ASA range from100-400.

But that's a personal choice arrived at through trial and error( more error than I care to admit too!)

Aperture priority gives me the depth i want in my shots.

Just remembered this site, it seems to be unmaintained at the moment but still well worth a visit for lens details.

I have no problem withpeopke using my images in the same thread, it allows me to learn and see what can be done with the original.

Where it's been done I will ask for it to be left up for others to see.

Just a thought, has the shutter fire?

They sometimes stick halfway, I don't know why!

If you can see the rear shutter and it looks like this Comment Image

Then lift the shutter GENTLY with a toothpick, using the arrowed stud, as far as it will go and let go.

The shutter should then 'click' and complete it's cycle.

Can't garuantee this will work though. The shutter is the same on your P30T as this MG example.

We just bought a new TV and the same lack of knowledge amongst sales staff applies.

The only answer is to do the research ourselves and if we're lucky we might find a knowledgable sales person. We won't know that though unless we've already looked into things!
We also went for a new TV, and heard
"what's the difference between 1080i and 1080p?"
"dunno"

We left the shop and bought from a supermarket!
