I quite like the white Km though
Having seen one in a shop in Malaga a couple of weeks ago I was surprised at how effective the colour looked.

I wouldn't buy one but it certainly didn't look as bad as the images on the net, in fact it looked cute and needed a blonde attached.

But she wouldn't buy it either!

point taken Matt.

Maybe you should get designing for Pentax!

What I'm getting at Matt is that the sensor sits where film would, all the electric gubbings should only take up the space of the film cartridge and wind on gear, the mirror box and shutter set up has remained the same size for ages, since the 60s at least.

So why are DSLR's the size of a bus compared to an MX, which seems like a sports car in comparison.

This isn't something to do with silver lenses is it?
Maybe...
Thought so.

I'd like to see a return to proper metal bodies, when I compare the size of a modern DSLR to an MX it makes me wonder just what is taking up all that space?

After all my E50 has several shooting modes, 7meg sensor batteries and a screen, but it's a fraction of the size of my K110d.

Maybe the K-m is going the right way for size.

I have never heard of bubbles in the glass before. New one on me.
I've a couple of Russian (Helios) lenses with bubbles in the glass, they make no difference at all to the image clarity.

If your not too sure contact Pentax and talk it over with them.

I'm sure they would replace it if your not happy.

I shouldn't be so rough on Pentax, after all anything that sell more units helps keep the brand alive.

Is that just silver plastic, or has Pentax produced a metal body?

My Japanese is non existent, so I presume it's just a silver plastic body, like the K200d that appeared this time last year.

As for the camera body, reckon Ebay is calling
Came with the instructions and the registartion card, so hopefully that will help it sell
It certainly will, cameras with instruction manuals always make more.

I took this link with the 70-300 Tamron. Not sure if that helps to show it's performance. It was a hand held shoot at about 200mm I think.
Nice shot geclinke.

On my K200d my Tamron doesn't perform that well, if I could afford it I'd go for the Pentax 55-300, after all it's designed for our cameras not a generic lens on a KAF mount.
