Is that just silver plastic, or has Pentax produced a metal body?
My Japanese is non existent, so I presume it's just a silver plastic body, like the K200d that appeared this time last year.

yes, you can anodise black plastic. Personally I don't need a camera that i'm afraid of the paint wearing off every time I hold it up.....
Forgot to add other really hot news,....theres a very fetching KM in army field green,....OOH lovely!!.....just right for playing soldiers in the woods with my friends! Much better than their plastic machine guns!! Don't know if theres any paintball proof lenses with it.
Oh, and the 645 digital is announced,...well, again.....

Gwyn,..yes you're right but, unfortunately, it's just the old black blob underneath....

Me too. If they come out with something smaller but at the same or a higher level than the K20d, then I shall be trading mine in.
I never understand why cameras nowadays have to be black. You used to get silver cameras (OK they were metal bodied) and no one complained or wanted them in black.
I think a bit of colour (not Barbie pink but subtle colour) would be great, even army green - saves on camouflage netting for the nature photographers

edit - I have no idea why those links aren't showing up as expected, but they still work if you click on them!
edit 2 - dodgy spelling

I like it in silver! I wasn't going to buy a K20D but if they bring that out I may just change my mind

This isn't something to do with silver lenses is it?
I shouldn't be so rough on Pentax, after all anything that sell more units helps keep the brand alive.

Yea the k20 is a bit big, even for my 6'4" frame. I was going to buy the KM originally because of it's size but it was a stupid price when it first came out and with the cashback offer at the time it meant I could pick up a K20 for less than £100 more( from Jessops!). And I'm very glad I did!
Ok, it isbig...... but it's beautiful!
