Just from memory I think the Carl Zeiss Jena Flektogon was a 2.4 lens.

That is a well regarded lens, very popular with ALL DSLR brand (it's an M42 lens!) and I'm happy with mine.

This new lens from Pentax, if anywhere as good as we're expecting, will be ample fast enough, after all I tend to use my DA40 stopped down to f5.6 more often than not.

Lets give it a try and THEN complain, if we can.

Just a thought, is this the first in a 'budget' range of primes?

If so I look forward to a 50mm f1.7 at the same price point, a 300mm f3.5 at a little more...

And what does..

A perfect choice for digital SLR beginners to familiarize themselves with the basics of using interchangeable lenses.

mean?

Aren't the other lenses suitable?

Did I learn the wrong way?

Aiming at the trendy new body owners perhaps?

I'll stick to black, or silver, maybe...

what would i need to develop colour film ?
The chemicals are available at Ag Photographic and a search of the net will provide advice/instructions.

I haven't tried colour yet so it's a foreign land as far as advice is concerned from me.

Apparently it can be done in the same/ a similar way and with the same kit as B&W, but don't quote me on that...

Since when has eighteen stones of solid muscle been obese?
A friend of mine took up climbing as a way to get fit, having already lost some weight. He then found his weight started going back up, but it was all muscle mass.

I've just taken up climbing, but the only thing I've found is how unfit I am!!
I climb from time to time, great exercise and scenery.

Just remember 'Don't look down', until you're over the top that is.

At that price and having a couple of lenses on plastic mounts I'm tempted.

If the optics are as good as previous Pentax 35s then where can I get one?

Oops, sorry, got carried away there, what I meant was when are they due at SRS Chris?

Compared to the old manual 28mm and 35mm lenses I have f2.4 isn't bad.

Where's the price?
