Let's hope any replacement is as good as the KR and a realistic price.

It would be nice to have a new body as well, above the KR level but below the K5.

Pentax need a 'range' of DSLRs for people to progress through. We're not all Pro standard or beginners so a decent mid range body would be more than welcome.

Yes I was drinking Sunday evening.

After the trip away with parents for the weekend it was a much needed beer or two when we got back.

The weekend was enjoyable, Mothers day being spent mostly in Whitby (without any goths). My mother is OK in small doses, but soon winds my good lady wife up, but isn't that what mother-in-laws are supposed to do?

On the plus side the beer was had with a viewing of the Australian GP, Well done Jenson. This looks like it should be a good season, shame about the murdoch pirate, still at least we can watch some races free on auntie beeb.

It's a good question that, Dave.

Just finished work, back on the late shifts so I'm sat here with a large G'n'T.

Bangers and mash lasted , oh, about 5 minutes, I was a touch hungry...

Last year we were told that we couldn't buy 'duty free' because we were flying from the UK to Sweden (via Amsterdam)!

It was classed as an internal flight.

Strange that in Spain, Holland or Sweden there were no similar restrictions!

Just the UK tax man wanting more??

Nice one Barrie, but why would you want to lift paving slabs or marble tops?

I've discovered an excellent way of doing those type of things...

... It's called 'get a man in'.

After all why hurt yourself and suffer when somebody else can do it for you?

(PS, it doesn't work for heart attacks though!)

At the price it looks to be, no.

Lets face it, nice though ut is, quick shift is a luxury that you shouldn't need.

In fact, if this is a 'budget' lens, then anything that keeps the price down is OK by me.

Forgot to mention we've opened the last 5L box of Rosé!

It should see the week out...

.....I hope!

With the appearance of the new DA50 looking very much like the DA35 I feel that this could be the 'cheap' version, probably costing £120-£130.

The fact that the f1.4 isn't on the road map means nothing, why discontinue a profitable lens?

What I feel Pentax are doing here is what Nikon have been doing for years, they're producing a set of lenses for the enthusiasts who haven't got big bank accounts.

After all, how many sales must they be loosing to the second hand market in old manual lenses, just because users can't afford a new, modern lens?
