All I'll say is Cockerhoop...

.....cold and tasty!

And I was commenting pointlessly about the MX-1..

......... after all it's too late to change it now.

Bring on the snow!!

Just looking at the new MX-1

Why didn't they keep the name for an interchangeable lens body instead of using it on a compact?

I don't care how good it looks on the internet, a 'Q' mount on front would have made it a very desirable camera...

At the risk of sounding a little mercenary, if you do and let me know I could post it on my Service Manuals site.

If you search the other Pentax forum there are several threads on there about this.

Mine doesn't work either, and having taken a MZ50 apart, I'm loathe to try a repair, instead just relying on an external flash should I need one.

If you do have a go write a guide, it will be VERY popular!

Ah yes gmail, I have one of them, can't get in as the password doesn't work.

Still, I only use it for those sites that must have an email even though you only want a look around and then decide they're not what you want.

The gmail in box must be stuffed with c**p by now!

I've a Brooks B29 on my fathers frame that he built at Ellis and Briggs in Shipley when he worked there.

That would be 1956ish. It was a copy of one he built for Ken Russell who rode in and won the Milk Race.

The bike is in super condition but doesn't get ridden these days, I prefer a motor to do the work.

I have one of these and find it a super lens.

Although I now tend to use my Tamron 18-250 as a go anywhere lens, this one still comes out when the birds are playing in the back garden.

Horses for courses!

As John says, get the standard 18-55 WR lens, as a wet weather option it's one of the best being the best 'standard' lens on any system.

I use a Tamron 18-250 as an everyday, travel, catch all lens so the 18-200 would be my choice.

IQ on most modern lenses is good so why get the shorter Sigma? A search of the old internet should bring up examples,or better still, have you a shop/dealer local who can let you try them out?
