Whilst I like Fuji and had a S9500 a while back, I'm inclined to say stick with your DSLR. I doubt that the 18 - 250 is any worse than the fixed zoom lens on the Fuji. And just think of the superior performance with more specialised lenses you can buy, not to mention the sensor advantage with your K200D

Nothing wrong with the a Fuji Finepix 9500 Steve, a very capable bridge camera, I had one myself a while back

I tend to subscribe to the 'SRS are actually rather excellent' school of thought myself. Every single dealing I have had with them has been faultless and that includes after sales where a faulty or suspect item was replaced without fuss and very efficiently.
Yes other dealers may be 'abysmal' but I would not lump SRS in to the 'just above category'. From my experience they are probably one of the best retailers I have dealt with period (any product or market). I actually think the web site / pricing is rather good.
If you feel there is anything there amiss why don't you pick up the phone and speak to them, they are really rather approachable and pleasant to deal with
