Mine says version 1.00

Three more lock ups this morning!

Off out shortly - so will see what happens today!

My K5-iis locked three times on monday - no grip just the original battery which was almost fully charged at the time. Hoping to get out with it again tomorrow, so will wait to see if it happens again. Only had it since friday.

Enjoy using it!

Decision having been made and SRS getting new stock in earlier than expected, I've had a few days to play with my new K-5lls. Rain and grey naturally for most of the time! Took the dogs along the river this morning while it was still quite foggy and tried a load of galloping dogs pictures using my 55-300 [not the first choice for action]. Whether it's faster or not, i'm pretty impressed by the downloaded pictures. Most of them will be deleted due to the rubbish exposures in the murk, but the accuracy of the focusing is rather good. Quite impressed!

I remember when they did an article on the K20D as a current/new model. They asked various people on Flickr [I think] to write a few words and send a couple of pictures. They printed mine...with a picture of a blonde haired woman who was supposed to be me next to it!!

Having used both the Nikon 70-300mm VR and Tamron 70-300mm VC in Nikon fit as well as the Pentax 55-300mm, I can confirm that the Pentax can more than hold it's own with regard to IQ. It's only downside is the noisy and less smooth AF, but it often surprises as to how well it can AF quite quickly.

sold subject to payment

K-5 bought last april from SRS so I assume the warranty would transfer to a forum member. Judging by the last file numbers it has taken around 36,000 shots [did lots of events and other stufflast year!] Overall condition is good and I've been using it up to last weekend. On arriving at a show last November I got it out of the small padded bag it was in and saw the top lcd had been cracked and broken. The only thing I can imagine is that the spare battery was in the top of the bag and was knocked against it. I put a piece of clear film over it and continued to use it. So it has had 4 months use since this happened - the display still works fine. It would make more sense to keep this as back up for the new body I've ordered but I really like my K-30, so if anyone wants a cheap K-5 I'm open to offers as I don't think it will get used. Please pm.
