I agonised over whether I could afford my kit, but am now glad I did it when I did, (usually I get it wrong!)

My problem is that at, or close to 300mm setting, images are unsharp on just the left side of the image, the right side being sharp and clear.
This would appear to be a centering issue with a lens or lens group with this particular example of the lens (it occurs with different cameras)
It is out of warranty, so I was wondering if anyone in the UK has used either Pentax Service Centre, or Harrow Technical.... I would be interested in any experiences or advice?? Graham.

I am a bit of a fan of getting repairs done to quality cameras, but I have no experience of having a digital camera repaired. £314 Euros sounds a lot!

Buy a cheap non photographic bag out there, or use a sturdy local carrier bag.

It was (is) immaculate, came with spotless smooth correct model SMC Tak 55mm f1.8 (lens with knurled rubberised focussing ring) and uv filter, genuine lens cap, SP F manual, and a working right era flash!
Only the camera had been mentioned. I have bought and sold Spotmatics since, but none as good as this 'keeper'.

Not so sure about "stunning lanscapes and seascapes"...it's funny about where you live, there's a tendency to take it for granted when you see it every day...I actually like mooching around cities and towns for a change!
Most of my stuff up till last year was taken on CANON equipment, because that's what I had for a retirement gift!
When time came to upgrade, I moved FROM Canon TO Pentax, as it was compatible with older Pentax lenses I had, and I liked the feel and look of Pentax over competitors.
