Pentax use Johnsons for all their warranty repairs and I have used them for out of warranty work.
They are very good and the standard of work is excellent but not cheap and a bit slow - and dreadful at keeping you updated with progress - fine if you email them but you will wait forever if you think they will automatically let you know what is happening. They seem to average 4-6 weeks for a repair.

Hi Graham I used this company after dropping one of my lens and yes they proved a little slow and in my case I thought great value for money but work was first rate and no problems with it at all
If I needed a repair again I would not hesitate to use this company

My problem is that at, or close to 300mm setting, images are unsharp on just the left side of the image, the right side being sharp and clear.
This would appear to be a centering issue with a lens or lens group with this particular example of the lens (it occurs with different cameras)
It is out of warranty, so I was wondering if anyone in the UK has used either Pentax Service Centre, or Harrow Technical.... I would be interested in any experiences or advice?? Graham.
