Our first exhibition

For Xmas i bought my daughter and wife a Optio E60 compact, inc was a case, 1GB SD card, Energizer rechargeable AA and charger, all for £70, this set was exclusive to Asda. Yesterday i borrowed the wifes camera a took a few photos to put it through its paces and to see what it was capable of......well all i can say say is that it is a brilliant little camera full of high spec items, i like it so much i am going to buy myself one to keep in my pocket at work (SLRs don,t fit in pockets to easy) so if anyone is thinking about buying a high spec low price compact you won't go far wrong buying this little gem.....and before anyone asks i do not work for Pentax UK or Asda

Norwich & District Photographic Society is holding a exhibition of photographs in the Assembly Rooms in Norwich, this is a exhibition of photographs selected by the exhibitor rather than judges or selectors, a sort of 'anything goes'

The exhibition is being held between the 2nd January 2009 and the 15th January 2009. The venue is The Assembly House, Theatre St, Norwich, NR2 1RQ.

I have just been to the site to renew my Mag subs only to find that i had to update a few things, it then said i must wait for confirmation, is it best to wait or can i renew straight away as i do not want to miss the latest issue. (subs run out at the end of August) any comments please.

Thanks for that lawtonka, that is just what i want, it may sound silly but i take it that it plugs in the 'cable switch terminal' in the terminal compartment (not much if anything is said about this in the owners manual) is it really that easy to use?

I have a Pentax *ist DL, does anybody have any idea how much a remote control is for this camera, i want to get closer to a bird feeding station for some close-ups, but understand (if i have read the manual right) that the sensor has to face towards me to trigger it, or have i got it all wrong and need something different, any help please.

Update, or do i need a wireless one which can be triggered from any angle irrespective of which way the camera is pointing, if so where and how much.

Thanks for all the comments, all advice taken on board.

My son has just made a small website, with some of our photos on, Some photos don,t look to good and will be replaced or re-presented, and more will be added, please give it a look and let us know what you think. We know it not perfect yet but we are working on it.
