I thoroughly enjoyed MikeW's entry this week (man on his motor-chair). I found it poignant in its own way, as far as "freedom" is concerned. And the fact that the background has two signs for a car wash adds some humor. The man in his chair is nice and sharp and the blurred background tells us just how fast he's going (to where? who knows?). Thanks for that entry, Mike!

Thanks for all this interesting information!

Here's to all who serve and have served their beloved country, whatever country that may be.

I think a collage of these is a good idea. 3,4,5,6,7 will work well together.
Be interested in seeing what you come up with.

Fill me in on the significance of this day, and the meaning behind the red poppy...

It's Veterans' Day today in the U.S., to honor those who have served our country. Same thing?

Very good, as usual.

What do you think about the snap on his collar? My eye keeps being pulled over to it and away from his face...

C. If you wonder if the picture needs a more obvious focal point, then it most likely does.

To me, this shot is crying out for a story - i.e. a person, sitting beneath the laundry, bored to tears with their legs hanging off the sides, and nothing to do but wait for the clothes to dry. Or something like that.

I think the idea of some desaturating is a good one. The vibrancy of the greens may be a little overpowering.

I think this is an improvement of an already very good photo. Wonderful colors and light. Nice job.

The shot with the boat onshore is very nice, Matt. The light is great, and the composition is spot on.
Exactly what I was going to say...
