Looking at 'moor stone' in particular, I would have thought that spot metering would have caused over exposure perhaps. They are consistently dark so I would check that exposure compensation hasn't been set to -2 stops or something. Again, without the EXIF data (whichever terms you want to use) it's difficult to be sure.

well it certainly looks underexposed by about two stops which could be being caused by the white table cloth. The colour balance is wrong too, set to daylight or even AWB under tungsten lighting by the looks of it. It would be interesting to see some more general shots. Click on the 'image' button below the box you type your post in and follow the instructions and you should be able to post images in the thread

I used a 35mm SMC Takumar because the Takumars have ain infrared focussing index.

you could buy a *istDS or similar and not have to do any conversion, just use an Ir filter
