The Warhol exhibition was good, a bit sparse, but good. The kids loved the Clouds Room, I sneaked my Optio in too . . .

I loved the Pentax 17-28mm fish-eye on my Z1, but lost the 'fish-eye' effect on Digital, recently forces have conspired to allow me to acquire the 10-17mm Pentax lens.

I called SRS on Thursday pm, and by Friday am, I had my sweaty digits on the shiny new 10-17mm Pentax sweetie.

Left home at 08:30 am next day, for sunny Edinburgh, here are some of the results,

Am I right in thinking that there is an adapter to use the 645 lenses on the DS, and have you tried it ?

What would the angle of view 'factor' be ? ie. about 1.5x from 35mm to digital, "xxxx" from 645 to digital ?

I must admit, I can't pass a boat without getting the f1.4 out

Or the Optio 550, when the K is at home

I had to fly up to Shetland on Monday this week, for business, couldn't take the K10D, so slipped the Optio 550 into my pocket for the trip. I managed to get 1/2 an hour round Lerwick harbour before I had to go for my flight home, here are the pics, probably not to everyone's taste, but no lean to the right or left, no extra lens's to carry, and the exposure was always spot on, anyone want to buy a leaning K10 ?





































I forgot how good the Optio 550 was, set on best + tiff, it gives 14mb files, that are fantastic. It is only when you start to enlarge them above 200% that you see that the lens starts to loose it
