You know I don't mean it Lilly, it will be a joy and an inspiration to see the photographs you produce.

No, you can't have it.

It will mean you will be able to take even better photographs,

I know what you mean about the 'extra's', but at first I wasn't happy about the shape of the pic, so tried to fill in, maybe didn't quite work.

My planned 'Vista' was across the roof-tops of Glasgow. I can get access, through work, to the roof of a very tall building in Glasgow, but on both the days I was there, the weather was bad, really bad.

I had a day off work and met up with some friends and showed them round some parts of Edinburgh. It was an attempt to get out of the rain that took us into St. Giles, I had never been there before.

It was fantastic inside, a whole new 'Vista' to me, how I wished I could pull a tripod out of my pocket.

Bumped the ISO to 1600 and started shooting.

Definitely have to go back soon.

p.s. they used it here, link

St Giles' Cathedral, on The Royal Mile, Edinburgh, 21st October 2008

K10D + Pentax fisheye, wide open at 10mm. Had to use ISO 1600 to get the hand-held shots.

( combination of horizontal and vertical images, with some stained glass images to fill in the gaps )

She wants to be a surgeon, Don !

She suggested I sell one of my kidneys on ebay to fund her education, and when she achieves surgeon status, she'll put a fresh kidney back in !!!

I said, "with idea's like that, you should be a bloody politician !!! "

Very cool, Don.

My wish list just went down the tubes !!!!!

I made a 'rash' promise to my daughter to take her to New York for Christmas, ( from Scotland ), if she passed her final exams.

Guess what,

I'm busy looking for cheap hotels in Manhattan.

The sensor is clean enough, and there will always be some dust, it's one of the things that is unavoidable.

I don't get too hung up about it.

Maybe I'll get the Dyson out tomorrow . . .

Thanks 'Darkmunk',

I have a hard time removing the 'fishy' from the K10, I love it.

I have no problem with the distortion, to me, it's part of what I am trying to capture.

I am not trying to make 'record pictures' I'm trying to lean to the "art" side of photography.

I have no problem using any and all tools available to me to create the final image, and the 'fishy' is a good start.

It's like the explosion of 'bug macro' pictures on the forum, most are fantastic, and would look good in a university bug book, but they leave me cold.

Lets see some 'arty' bug macro's, this is my humble effort,

I now sit awaiting harsh criticism.
