Prieni, the Fisheye is never off the camera, it's my favourite lens, I'll shoot anything with it.

No.3 was taken from the Empire State Building with the FA50 - f1.4 another favourite lens, I should use it more.

I didn't get to photograph all I wanted in NY, it was also a holiday for my daughter, and the shops were her main attraction, but I did get a few of the obscure / abstract shots that I enjoy

I saw the steam venting from the underground pipework, and knew there was a photo there, all I needed was a 'Yellow Taxi' to pass, and . . . . . . .

Thanks for the info Matt, I was wanting the 17-70 when it first came out. The reviews were a bit mixed, so I put it on the 'back-burner'.

Going to go for it now after your experiences, this would be my ideal range, just wish it was a f2.8, but then again, if it was, the price would be out of my range.

I'm off to New York tomorrow for 6 days.

Got the K10D and the 'fishy', so hope to bag a skyscraper or two.

I'll try not to bore you with tall buildings on my return.

I've never been higher that a 7th floor before, and I'm booked for the 86th on the Empire State !!

My head is spinning already.

Someone once said to me that a Fuji Velvia slide at 50ASA would be equivalent to a 50 mega-pixel image from todays digital camera's, having used Velvia in the past, it seems quite possible.

The idea of the long exposure was to try and show the girls eating their lunch frantically, so they could get back to the 'shopping', the back-ground was to show the other people eating more slowly, with less of a rush to get back to the shops.

?

Is the glass, 'half full', for you, or 'half empty' ?
