John - it's only one of the DA* lenses (the 50-135). I'll definitely keep you posted! The DA17-70 has been brilliant! It's almost supplanting the 50/1.4 in a lot of situations

I've been collecting Pentax gear for over 30 years now and I'm putting together a list of stuff I'm hoping to sell off to finance the DA17-70. I'm happy that you rate it so highly.
I find I'm using only the Pentax fish-eye, the FA50/1.4 and my Sigma 105 macro these days, although there are times the 18-55mm kit lens does make an appearance. I feel the 17-70mm would fit into my needs very nicely. I think the rest, ( about 7 or 8 of them ), can go.

I read his blog with interest. The claim that Pentax would need to design an entire new lens range for a FF camera, just does not seem to sit right.
Has anyone else noticed that many of the latest lenses are reported to show no sign on vignetting on 35mm film cameras?
Was a redesign for a larger sensor the reason behind the long delay of a DA60-250, the fact that the DA15 is only F4 and the temporary suspension of the teleconvertor? The DA16-45 was to be phased out, but now seems to have been reintroduced, any coincidence that it becomes FF compatible at around 22mm?
Accepting that CA might be considered a problem in some eyes with the original FA limiteds, I cannot belief that resolution is an issue in 'real world' use.
Personally I think the more likely scenario is a slighly larger sensor, 1.3 crop square or otherwise.
Anyone know how the DA 55-300 looks on a 35mm camera? Its my birthday soon and it is/was on my list. May after wait until after the 21st before I can satisfy my LBA

Some of the "new" lenses are based on 135 lenses. But that doesn't mean they will work well with a 135 sensor.
