Hi, not able to help with the noise issue, noise in such low light seems hard to avoid.

What are the advantages to increasing iso, when on a tripod why not keep to lower iso?

thanks

Fraser

Hi, just back from my second ever fashion show. The show is FS:X and is a charity show run by the St.Andrews univeristy. It was held in the Curtis Fine paper mill which has been empty for years. Was a really great show and i ended up with some interesting pics. The venue was pretty cold which the keen eyed amongst you might notice in some of the pics

Shots were taken with K-7 and tamron 17-50 f2.8 at iso1600.

Having taken hundreds of boring full length shots of each model i got the chance to mess around. Here are some of the ones i like:

Hi, the kit seems pretty overpriced for what it contains.

will be using the camera tomorrow night at a fashion show and expect to be keeping to the larger apertures so should be fine.

Thanks for all the help as usual.

ok, have decided its the sensor. Gave it a quick blow and now the big bit is gone, and im left with several smaller ones...... its progress

On another note why are parts of the menu sometimes not available? the dust mapping option is no longer accessible to me for some reason?

thanks

Hi, i am having trouble with a fairly large piece of something appearing on my pictures.

I am using a k-7 and have run a couple of sensor cleaning protocols which cleared up some particles registering on the sensor test. However the original piece of dust is still visible in photographs. The dust does not seem to be present with other lenses, is it possible this is in the lens?

Any help is much appreciated,

thanks

Have been trying to recreate a cross-processed look in my pictures. An example of what im after can be seen here:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/swarmoeskerken/

These pictures are incredible and its something i would love to get close to.

Can anyone speculate on these and maybe give me some tips towards recreating similar effects?

So far i have got as close as the cross-processing actions found in nik colour software.

Thanks

Fraser
