Well, I am now glad to say that the recent impulse buy of a Nikon D750 was returned under the instruction from the boss. To be rewarded by Pentax/Ricoh releasing the FF potential at the end of 2015. I think a few sweetners for my love will be in the offing throughout the year this year, to ensure me a nice little reward come Christmas :D All in the name of research and photography Pentax style of course. To boot the lenses we all buy for our kit, looks like they will be compatible :P Back of the net!!!!! 😄

Nifty fifty lens conundrum...

Thanks for the responses guys. K10D I will be mainly capturing buildings, through my urban exploration, but I do like the odd candid shot too. I toyed with the 35mm Pentax, but now thinking a 16-45 or even 10-20mm. I knew it was a conundrum..lol:oops:
Nifty fifty lens conundrum...

I was wondering which 50mm prime lens outside of the limited stock opt for. It will probably be my walk around lens in the city on my k30, but which one. I have looked at the Pentax 50mm FA f1.4 and also the SMC DA 50mm f1.8 which is about 180 cheaper. Has anybody used or own either or both? And recommend one for me. On the face of it I would say the f1.4 will be the clear winner, but I always like the underdog or less popular option, providing its a good bit of kit and value for money. Apologies if this topic has already been debated. Daz

G'day guys, Following Santa's little gift off my wife, a new K-30, I was wondering if anybody has a Pentax D-BH109 Battery Holder to sell? Looked on eBay and read up on the copies but I'm not filled with confidence, unless you can advise otherwise ;-) But would like to keep it all Pentax Ricoh if I can. Thanks

Tamron sp 2x tele Converter help
Posted in Troubleshooter
Hi guys, Suffering with a case of LBA recently and today purchased a Tamron SP Tele-Converter 2X BBAR MC For Pentax K F System. I thought as my pockets are not as deep to purchase a good zoom lens and Macro lens I thought I would give this a go. But, When connected to my K-x and manual 50mm 1.7 Prime Lens opened at the widest aperture I get a black picture?? Like wise when changed to a Manual Sigma 70-210mm same, and the kit lenses that I have also do not work. I have changed the setting in the camera to accept manual lenses but am I missing something really obvious or is the converter I purchased not compatible with my beloved K-x (soon to be a K-5 of if I'm really lucky K-3 price dependant. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Daz

Time varies, according to the overall number of submissions they receive at the time. From memory somewhere between 7-21 days. The amount of voting you do yourself also seems to have an influence. Regards - SteveThanks Steve, I'm voting each day for about an hour or so as I'm off work at the mo. I only submitted them about 10 days ago so still time yet :) The last one that I had accepted earlier this week took about three weeks to work it's way through. Cheers Thanks Gary :-) Have a great day guys 8)looks like its going to be an excellent weekend for picture taking in Blighty Gary

G'day Guys, I have been looking at some of the great pictures in galleries that you all have and I noticed smugmug and PPG. I have signed up to the PPG and submitted 5 pictures, but was wondering how long on average it takes before they get accepted or rejected? Can anybody let me know a rough time as I'd love to know if any of my pic's uploaded so far are worthy enough. Thanks Daz
