Thanks for the comments. It's the Pentax SMC-M. The A versions went for a lot more, so I went cheap. However, I've found I really enjoy using it and I don't think I'll be leaving home without it.

I'm a novice. I just bought a K20D and it's my first 'proper' camera. I've posted my photos here I'm still finding my way round the camera and will probably be doing so for a long time to come. These are a few of my favourites so far - all taken with a manual 50mm f1.7 which cost me all of a tenner. Probably the best tenner I've ever spent.








The weather has been pretty gloomy since I bought the kit and I haven't yet got a tripod. But if anyone wishes to take a look I'd be interested to hear comments. Always keen to learn.

Thanks. I figured a 50mm would make a good portrait lens with a wider aperture to play with.
