A stone chip on that would give you an apoplexy! Great series of shots.

Velvia all the way for me. I just love the consistent colours it produces.

I have to agree with the two posts above. There are an enormous number of good tutorials on both youtube and vimeo which will give you loads of information

I recently sold mine at Carmarthen cameras and got £325 for it. It was there for quite a while before it went. It was great condition, but had shot quite a lot of film. As an aside I have a 10-15mm fisheye and a sigma 105mm macro still for sale there if anyone is interested.

I have one of the pentax soft cases that I have yet to get around to selling on the auction site whose name it seems we shall not mention. It has barely ever been used (see post above!). If anyone is interested pm me.

I still shoot quite a lot of film, but mainly for portfolio or clients who request it. Lately I have been shooting with fuji neopan 1600 which I love ,but I also regularly use velvia in my fuji gsw690iii and a variety of other films in my 35mm slrs

My point was that rather than laying out loads of cash, it is probably best to take some time and learn the skills required to use any camera. I still think that is best done with an entirely manual camera. That camera could be film or digital. Obviously you do not have to pay out for film and processig with digital, but a film camera is much cheaper initially and if you want to change it you will get nearly all your money back.

One other thing about film that often seems to be forgotten is the creativity afforded by exploring differences in film properties, both in grain and colour. Lately I have been shooting with fuji’s fabulous neopan 1600 and love the grain it gives.

The largest cost of buying a car is the depreciation not the fuel.

If you are looking for a rail and like macro work then I have some gear that may be of interest to you. This is a link to my a set of auto bellows that I am currently trying to sell. They are on Carmarthen cameras website if you are interested. Great for macro work, allows you to move the camera to focus, like a rail.
