I was aware of the K-M but thinking more of a current model. Pentax are weird here in that they allow a model to disappear without any replacement.I had a K200D, sold it and regret it. I still believe that Pentax have the finest lenses with the likes of the 16-45 which gives 24mm to 67mm in old money. That range is difficult to achieve with the likes of Canon because of the 1.6 sensor crop. Hopefully a new K200D isn't far away.

Some time ago I spoke to SRS and the salesperson mentioned a new version of the K200D was due, just wondering if there is any update. Warehouse Express now list the K7 and K20D as the only dslr's, seems poor compared to the other manufacturers. A weatherproof entry level dslr, with bigger screen and better AF to compete with the Nikon D3000 and the Canon EOS 1000D is surely overdue, any one know if one is on the horizon?

Well, I am selling all my dslr gear and going to Canon with a G10 for my "with me all the time" camera, and back to Fuji, for an S100FS,have had it with sensor dust, and the weight of dslr's and lenses.

I am leaving this forum, but have really enjoyed my time and found the tone of the majority of posts to be so refreshing compared to the ignorant behaviour of other forum sites, especially the "review" one --. Keep it that way.

If the lens sells I will post the final price, not as a "told you so" but so that everyone can get a snapshot of where we are heading with second hand prices in light of rising prices and the effect that will have for all second hand buyers and sellers.
If you want to see a real pantomime then type either "LX3" or "G10" into eBay and watch auction prices that are astonishing.

It had 24 watchers, some of who were waiting until the final few minutes when there would have been the usual bidding stampede, how do I know ?, loads of email's afterwards saying so.
If it does not sell I am not bothered, but if you think that a start price of £250 is high, for a 9 month old lens that currently retails for £370, then I would suggest that you may be out of touch with Pentax second hand lens costs.

If I was buying it at £370, and saw one on ebay for £250 I think I know which one would be grabbing my attention.

I have found it near impossible to part with this lens but it has to go, re-listed, "again".

I respect your loyalty but many restraints influence our buying choices. I don't want to sound rude, but if you are able to pass your opinion for me on what you perceive the optical performance of this lens to be like it would be greatly appreciated. I value opinion on forums from technically minded users like yourself.
