Actually you are quite right, We'll be narrowing it down to 9 per page, with some downloadable pdf brochures soon, I take my time to get around to things.....
I dressed up as the "Procrastonator" (spoof on Terminator) for halloween.
"I'll BE BACK !" (in Arnold-esq voice) "...EVENTUALLY..."

I've got a remote camera set up with a link on my links page in my site, that'll be set to used for bird watching soon. any body care to test it out and get back to me? It'll be on only for an hour, then I'll have to stop to get back to other work.

Mac you are a kind and generous person and thank you.
I will find someone with ie6 and review it on a pc, to see if I can improve.
I know some versions of firefox had trouble with the earlier frameset instructions.
My Safari web browser looks great, but most people don't know what Safari is.
I also have dial up, no other options short of expensive sattelite.

Simple on first glance, but I can plug 5 memory cards into my computer, and walk away.
By the time I get a cup of coffee, My images are batch renamed, sorted, and my web page layed out and a burnable disc of originals made.
I then look at the web images, remove what I don't like and click "Sync", and wait for my dial-up connection to finish, call my customer to give'em a password. Simple but functional.

Right now my site does not bring customers, and work to me, but rather gets my work to my customers. I'm eager to improve upon it, before I spend any money advertising the site.

Keep

Simple
Stupid

works for me...

Content will be updated before I register it with search engines...some of those images are spacers..family snaps etc...I await permission from some customers to use thier portraits...I have 2 years worth of work to choose from.

Having gone through a nasty divorce, (many thousands of images, and many thousands of dollars worth of Pentax equipment, fell victim to the wrath of a woman scorned.), I find myself now rising up from my own ashes. Ready to begin over.

This website is evolving, from a simple tool to deliver proofs to customers, to what will one day be a more polished .com venture. The private and wedding sections are where the real money is, the rest is simply an online gallerie. Simplicity is skin deep, and therefore has its' own beauty, but the true power lies in the tight integration with my desktop.

My new spouse Gerri (who has for the largest part, kept everything in her name, for financial reasons), is a talented photographer in her own right.

I hope you like it and will enjoy any feed back you may have to offer.

There is alot of effort in starting over with nothing. I started with a borrowed wedding gown from a secondhand store, and a pretty waitress...and a camera I borrowed from Gerri.

We'll be doing some Wedding shows and mall displays next month.

My site is written with a simple freeware html editor called Taco html, and is hosted on my .Mac server.

Even if We don't figure it out right now every bit of usefull info will no doubt help someone out in the future, if it is a camera problem.
I shoot up to 18 weddings/year and want to know about such problems. In case I ever have to deal with it.
It could most likely be a bad sector on your mem card causing a read/write error...if that be the case- it'll rear it's ugly head again when your card starts getting full...
ps I'm using 2500mah batteries and getting less to the tank than you are...I swich batteries on my flash when ever the recycle times get a little long.

that guest post above was me..sorry.
I meant to say "perhaps after a full flash discharge with weak batteries, causing the power to dip too low, causing a write failure error on the card?"

You said:

Four successive shots burnt out completely. Turning off everything and restarting camera and flash fixed things but I'd changed no settings.
I had that happen too, with built-in flash and 50 1,4 m lens on ist ds2.
The other part about jpegs pefs...I have questions.
1) did you have both pefs and jpegs of same image or jpegs instead of pefs?
2) were you using pentax image lab software or something else?
3) is it possible you converted the file at your pc while it was still in camera? ie.. your pc wrote to the card?
