I use Faststone Image Viewer. Free to download from here link .

FastStone Image Viewer is very user-friendly image browser, converter and editor. I have never really got on with Photoshop, maybe I'll go on a course sometime but in the mean time I use Faststone.

I have been very happy with my 18-135 and if I only had one lens this would be my choice.

It is small, light, weather resistant, good range, silent. A good all-rounder. I have better zooms for long and short but the range on this one is very useful for lots of occasions. I've had mine about 2 years and it has been out in rain, cold, sun, blizzards, up and down a few mountains with never a problem. May not be as sharp as a prime but its usefulness is it's all round performance.

If you have a look in my portfolio you will find all of the mountain and landscape shots on the 1st and second pages are taken with the DA18-135

I don't think you will be disappointed if you go for it.

Yep, new - old makes no difference, you still import goods and have to pay duty/VAT!

I sent an old camera abroad for repair and got stung when it came back. I had to prove I sent it abroad and was only getting it repaired, which I could. Still had to pay VAT of the cost of the repair though. This camera was a 1937 model so was definitely used!

Best Manual focus Pentax must be the one you are using at the moment.

Lots of nice cameras and all with their differences but the MX, LX and Super A are my favorites. Small Light and all the controls in just the right places. (Not everyone will agree about the Super A but mine was my only camera for 20 years so it suited me.)

I find a good source of photography 'how to do it books' are Charity shops.

The best ones are usually the local charities, rather than the national chains, as they often put less shiny but more interesting books in their shops.

Sounds like you need a foam seal kit for your LX, if the mirror bumper is sticky. Try contacting Jon Goodman [email protected]

He produces pre-cut kits of foam seals and will send them to you for a few pounds. A mirror bumper is usually provided with all the other seals, along with instructions. Not difficult to do if you have a reasonably steady hand.

You could take some to your doctors surgery, and leave them in the waiting room. Most of the magazines at my doctors are not of interest to me so it would be nice to have something interesting.
