This camera is a no brainer, simple and quick.
I've lost count on how many years I have owned mine.
I just wish Pentax would come up with a manual digital "RAW" DSLR, without a menu to plod through, and leave us photographers to get on with the shot.

OK all of you have convinced me, now I need to dig my K10D out of the cupboard and start shooting with it again.
What is it that makes the camera so wonderful?

I've decided to visit the past and use my Sekonic light meter with my K5.
After reading the instructions I now know how to change the ISO reading but I'm stuck with adjusting the aperture and speed.
The lense is a DA* 50-135.
Help will be appreciated.

Hi,
I'm trying to change to RAW.
When I press menu "File Format" the first side is greyed out, second and further menus are OK.
Any idea what's going on?

Thanks for the good news, I have a bunch of Pentax K lenses that I use on my LX and K1000.
I have never doubted Pentax, although I have the impression that Pentax name is not included among the elite.
Even my eye glasses are Pentax plus my DSLR lenses and I have had no regrets.
So perhaps I have had an investment without knowing it, my wife will be pleased.
