I can only hope that flickr continues to pretty much as it is, for the way I use it, I can't fault it.
The ability to view images on Flickr from this forum is excellent as images directly uploaded to this site are too small IMHO.

Nothing wrong with cliches that look that good.
Not anywhere I recognise anyway 😁

Cheers guys, your feedback is appreciated, John Im not so sure about the steady hand or eye bit, or the getting results that you cant either
Roger and Irek thank you
cheers Haris I didnt know how to work it out.
I really struggled with focus on these, genuinely, my ringflash diffuser blocks damn near all the light at that magnification, there is a little button on the bellows that when released opens the aperture but when pressed steps down to whatever is set on the lens, that was needed to allow some light in, but means its still fairly dark and wide open when trying to focus. Realistically i need to re-modify my modified ringflash, to include some sort of constant light as I took about 36 shots to get about 6 that I am happy with, just too dark at that level of extension, I am surprised at the detail i am getting, on ff for macro
Its all good and interesting and as ever I am enjoying experimenting
Thanks again,
Derek

Hi Haris it seems to be about 11mm across the width of the frame.kind of hard to judge as the dandelion was inside the flash diffuser but the ruler won't fit. Whatever that means as I don't know the formula to work it out.

After spotting the pollen beetles yesterday, i went back out this morning to see if i could get any closer, these are at 1:1 on the macro lens and full extension on the bellows, handheld lying in the grass, really difficult to see anything and to check focus, and are about as good as i can get in the field without trying to set something up indoors with a tripod and external lighting, other than flash.
K1 + bellows, fully extended + 21mm ext tube + 105mm macro at 1:1 focus + ringflash
I didnt know they had wings.
If anyone knows what the magnification ratio is for that set up I would love to know
Worth clicking through to flickr for the larger sizes

Thank you 😁
Haris, I do get that stacking would have allowed me to have most if not all of the spider in focus., and if I had been able to us the tripod for these I probably would have given it a go. But had to handheld while trying to lean in over bushes to get the spider.
I will try it at some stage when I find something I can use the tripod with. 👍👍👍

As ever, a well conceived set with some cracking images.
Would agree with Irek, around 4, and 12. With 12 being my top pick.
Looking forward to seeing more.
