The mono conversion makes a fine picture. I particularly like the transluscence of steam rising on the left. david

Humour, yes, but its also a fine graphic image. The popped blue of the light is perfect against the black and white of the rets of the image. david

Lovely misty light. Well done. david

This is a compelling image and as MAc says its like an illustration from a fairy tale. Pauljay talks of the missing element, its corny but a figure in the far distance might have helped but I don't think its essential. The shapes of the trees are interesting enough on their own. As for HD - that would ruin it. david

The colour and light are superb Ron. I prefer this to the closer view you added next.

Its a lovely high key image but for my taste just a tiny bit too over exposed. I see you o/e by 1.5 stops which seems quite extreme. I usually underexpose by either a third or two stops and correct later in photoshop. There's less chance of blowing highlights that way but in your picture you were not in danger of doing that. As for the posts, I would leave them in. Although they are tiny they ...

Black and white certainly suits steam train photos - perhaps its a nostalgia thing. I think I could live without the grain in this shot but its highly enjoyable, so 1950s. david.

Much improved. A good picture is now a great picture. david

There's beautifull luminosity in they sky and distant power station. The foreground is a little hwavy though, I think a crop off the bottom would make this an even better picture. david

Love it, and the mono conversion. david
