Spectacular. You do seem close Jon, did you lose altitude a bit to get a closer look? David PPG: http://www.pentaxphotogallery.com/artists/davidtrout

Interesting shot Peter. I'm no fan of diesels but as always the Great Western did things differently to other regions, they tried using diesel hydraulic power, as in the example in your picture, instead of diesel electric. The Vulcan Foundry turned out hundreds of steam locos in the old days, including many WD freight engines. David PPG: http://www.pentaxphotogallery.com/artists/davidtrout

If the sky doesn't help the picture its always best to get rid of it. This works well. David PPG: http://www.pentaxphotogallery.com/artists/davidtrout

As always from you Jim, perfect composition. I really like the vibrant colours and moody sky. David PPG: http://www.pentaxphotogallery.com/artists/davidtrout

This might be better without the sepia tone. As an exercise in high key photography it would have more impact in black and white with pure mono tones. As Peter says you could improve it by bringing back some detail in her hair where the highlights have blown. David PPG: http://www.pentaxphotogallery.com/artists/davidtrout
