Forget Elddis Mike. I knew the guy who started that company, he was called Siddle C Cook and owned a big transport haulage firm in Consett many years ago. When his sons took over and launched the caravan firm they spelled Siddle backwards to create Elddis. Nothing to do with cars. For an E did anyone mention Escort?
The police used to have Z Cars, or was that only on TV? Maybe they had Q Cars as well.

Thanks Hefty for the judging and comments and congratulations to Mike. My first fortnightly entry but it won't be my last. Pity there hadn't been a few more entries just to make you work even harder.

One word I dislike because it's overused but here I think it's apt: Awesome.

My attempt at Impressionism. I wanted to use the shimmer of heat haze and a tiny crop from a 135mm lens image to illustrate distance and tight perspective. C+C welcome (I already know its not sharp, not meant to be).

I've taken many pictures of the modern architecture at Salford Quays, Greater Manchester. This grabbed my attention inside the Lowry Gallery there.
C+A welcome.

Thank you Aiki - you give me great encouragement!

I actually passed by there again today but the light had gone - and no-one was about which was odd.
They heard you were hanging around with your camera Mike.

You don't need a better figure walking past, the old guy with the stick is the perfect subject for a juxtaposition shot with the shop model.
BTW Mike, I thought you didn't like black and white.

Welcome Greg, you will see there are quite a few North Easterners already here. There are still some great industrial landscapes to be taken in the Nortth East, especially down in your home Cleveland area.
