Lastly, you seem to have managed to find the dullest, sickest looking ladybird I've seen for some time! If I saw that one in my garden I'd assume it was dead.......
That is a Harlequin Ladybird, a foreign imposter that is having a detrimental impact on native ladybirds. I saw a lot of these a couple of years ago, but the hard winter in 2010 / 2011 killed a lot of them off. The last couple of years the natives have fought back and there are loads about at the moment.

16-45 is a superb lens. It is sharper than many of my primes at most focal lengths and also has surprisingly good bokeh for a zoom lens. It is resident on my K-5 almost 100% of the time.

Alan, you are truly a master of these shots. They are breathtaking, in particular the Nuthatch.

Super lens, I bought one recently from a forum member and it's never off my K-5 now. You should sell this no problem.

Where does all that dust go. Does it just build up until the camera is useless.
I wouldn't worry too much about it if I were you. A while back I bought a second hand K-m from ebay and although it was in good external nick, on arrival the sensor was covered in dust and debris, as was the focussing screen. I've carefully cleaned it with a Rocket Blower and a wet sensor clean and I've also removed / cleaned the focussing screen (dry clean only, with the blower). Since then (6 months ago) everything is clean and clear with no further problems.

You must be careful to change lenses not too often and when you do ensure the camera is pointing downwards. Every now and again check it, clean it only when necessary and all will be well.

I also have two as I usually carry two bodies. Mine are the DA 16-45 and the DA L 55-300. Together these lenses cover almost all eventualities and the image quality is brilliant. The DA 16-45 is my particular favourite. For a zoom it is very sharp and is a perfect landscape lens. Since getting the 16-45, my 18-55 has not seen the light of day. The 55-300 is an invaluable companion, enabling me to get shots quickly at distance, that wouldn't otherwise be possible.
