I'd like to do a long exposure of it whilst it's moving.
On your left before the car park entrance is a gate, you can shoot through there using a tripod. Will post an example tomorrow sometime.

You must go to central park, apart from that where ever else you go will be amazing. Try shopping at B+H photo, very different from UK shops.
Your lens choice will work fine.

Think your mid-tones might be a touch overcoked.
Do like the brightness of the greens in yours.
The yellow comes from the peat in the surrounding area, i have emphasised this as it is a feature of the falls.
My version seems a bit "muddier" than yours.

I think you're right, people get carried away on ebay
i certainly "win" less items this way, but when i do "win" i have usually got the item for a bargain price.

Well worth a visit, the images are superb, and quite humbling given the level of equipment available and conditions the shots where taken in.
