High Force, ideas welcome

Hope you don't mind, I had a go at it, not sure if it is any improvement. I tried mono first, but it didn't seem to work, so I applied a graduated filter to the top left, burned the midtones on the mountain in the top left a bit, cropped it, then used Topaz Adjust to bring out some more colour. Lastly, I desaturated the waterfall and some of the foam using the sponge tool as it had a strong yellowish tinge.





It might work better on the original file, the link you posted seemed to be the same size as the one on the forum.

Don`t mind at all Jon, that`s why I posted it.
Think your mid-tones might be a touch overcoked.
Do like the brightness of the greens in yours.
The yellow comes from the peat in the surrounding area, i have emphasised this as it is a feature of the falls.
My version seems a bit "muddier" than yours.

I think you are right about the midtones in the version I posted. Bit of a difficult shot to get much out of due to the light I think.Your second version is an improvement but the whole scen still seems to lack contrast.

Lovely shot. May I ask of the location of this beauty spot? Great pic as well and some very good work done! Well done all.

High force in Teesdale,have a few other images of it, one or two "shot to the right" will play again tomorrow.
