Arguably the most desirable teleconverter there is, and this is an excellent example.
Pictures taken with a macro so you can see for yourself.
Optically perfect, mechanically perfect, cosmetically very, very good.

Just about to start a 3 hour drive down the center of Wales, halfway there is a known area for Red Kites. Have done this drive a few times and always spotted the birds, never yet got a good shot though
Maybe this time; have set up the K20 in advance, Da55-300, centre weighted, iso 200, continuous af, Hi drive.

think lots of us do that
Seem to recal a poll sometime back that confirmed it.

On my K20 I have never used tav or P modes, most of my shots are static, so very rarely use Tv either. Perhaps I should get a discount ? after all I only use such a small percentage of the functions available.

Q1, 95% av mode, raw+Jpeg(low res), lowest ISO can get away with.
Q2, Use the exif data if I need to reference.

I hardly ever go to Chester with the camera
I live 1 mile from the center, have only taken the camera in once

But then I lived in Liverpool fopr 40 years and never went to the Grand National. Brewery Tap is a good choice, but on race nights it can get manic. If you are in the area another popular place is Harkers, on the canal just outside the city.

I'm now another one of those two-system users
Are you prepared to reveal the other system?

Be aware that the Races (as in any town) attracts a surfeit of very talented professional pickpockets
Always dangerous to say never, but unlikely in Chester. The biggest problem you will have is getting somewhere to eat, it can get very busy in town on race nights. The track is well within walking distance of the center, unless you have high heels on.
