Hi Amin,
Got this from ebay for £16 inc postage to UK.
Receiver sits on flash shoe and remote has 100 mtr range.
Not the best quality, but good enough for occasional use.
It does half shutter to activate focus then full release as required. If you hold the button down for 3 seconds the shutter locks in Bulb, press again to release.
Would reccomend it as cheap and cheerful, but probably not for intensive use.
Dave.

Just out of curiosity, if you have a DA 16-45 why do you want a DA 17-70 why didn't you bought that immediately with your camera? You might better look for a lens to go besides your DA 16-45 imho[/quote]Good question Stefan, I don`t need the DA 17-70, was thinking about something else last night. What I want is something around 70 - 200. But for now I am going to try some macro. Some interesting threads on the forum about reversing rings extensions.

Hi Michal.
Am new to Pentax so trying to adopt a policy;
If I buy a new lens it has to have high IQ, hence my 16-45.
Current funds are enough for 1 new purchase this year, definately a zoom, possibly the Pentax DA 17-70 f4 AL. I do not think any zoom with a greater than 5 times range will offer the quality I want, of course I could be wrong.

Am happy to pay up to £50 on ebay for a prime, the way I see it it`s all experience, and if I do not like a particular lens then I can always re-sell.

Bought my K20 from my local seller last week.
He was £20 more expensive than SRS and other online dealers; but then he did spend 30 minutes with me deciding which lens to get, then He filled out the cashback form for me.
Just wondering how many others shop local?
If not, why not?
Dave.

O.K Folks,
Had my K20D for 6 days, fantastic camera, and the 16-45 Lens is superb, so much better than I am used to. Got a cosina 50mm F1.9 from ebay a few days ago, £20 actually a very good lens, sharp and good colours.
Next step, and reason for the post;
I need a good macro, don`t mind manual but it must fit onto the k20; do not want to bother with adaptors. Anybody got any ideas?
cheers
Dave.

just to add my bit,
Not seen much mention of shake reduction on K20D.
Because of a disability i frequently shoot one handed, even with my 16-45 zoom I still get rock steady shots under most conditions tested.
Although only had the camera a few days I cannot recomend it highly enough. It is superb.

Hi,
Got my shiny new k20D yesterday, very pleased spent many hours yesterday reading the manual. Question is does anyone use the supplied software?.
I have Elements 6 so the Raw Conversion will open automatically.
Another one is the remote camera disc, does anyone use this ? and if you do what for?
Cheers
Dave.

[quote:3496ace15f="jackitec"]Just hold on, have a think about this, buy the K20d body only

Hi Jackitec,
The point of getting the 16-45 is to maximise the cashback offer, currently £100.In any case 18-250 seems quite a longway, am going for high IQ on this setup so probably would not consider such a long zoom range. Have read reviews and it does seem somewhat compromised. My next buy will be a 50mm prime then shall look at SMC Pentax-DA 55-300mm F4-5.8 ED, or possibly something a bit better.
