Sorry to hear about your bad Sunday news Barry. I hope you can keep on the forum we might make you smile
WE now need 2 wheelchairs one for you and one for Alan....pehaps all our meets should be at RSPB reserves that have mobility scooters with trailers so that you can carry our gear

I hope you recover quickly and look forward to seeing you out and about soon.

We will be up in Sky later in the year. I might be difficult to spot as I don't have a Pentax strap.

For hillwalking the 18-135 is vey good. it is lightweight, has a good range, weatherproof, and produces good pics.

I think many reviewers these days are looking for something to say! Others are noticing differences that no one else can.

I saw the Albion Christmas band with their seasonal show last night in Saltaire. That started Chritmas for me

Rather than thermals build up your layers caefully. Go for some paramo cascada trousers and any of the paramo jackets. Not only do they keep you warm (they are fleece lined) but they are ace for being water and wind proof. The fleece is part of the breathing waterproof system. They cost a bit, but last for years. When the outer waterproofing fades shove them in the washing machine with Nikwax proofing and they are as good as new.

Don't buy the Andy Rouse labelled paramo gear - they cost more.

for the light seals email jon_goodman at yahoo.com. He is in the states and can supply what you need. He also sends an instruction sheet. The kits cost about £8 incliuding postage the the uk.
