Here's a picture of a god sky/sunset over Mount's Bay.
I'm not happy with it because of the usual problem of how to process it. Sky detail/ land detail/general believability, as it's not actually a sunset yet.
It's a 3 shot panorama taken with the 35mm Macro ltd. and stitched into a single raw file in Lightroom.
If you would like a play, the file can be downloaded here:

Here's a quick render

Mullion is where I have my water tank/man cave, up on the hill. It's taking a while to empty the water and move in, but in the mean-time it's a lovely area to just get off-grid for a few days and go walking.
I should be there now, setting up the site shed and solar panels, but I pulled my back moving the caravan, so I'm looking at your photos from my bed in Plymouth
Thanks for the reminder! Nice to see what other people go and see.
Had a girlfriend in Coverack; happy days

No rear cap
How's that even possible?
Nice lens.

Where do we start! Just look for a German number plate and follow it! They seem to have a guide book written by a local, whereas the English just head for the beach.
Anyway, look up Porth Curnow/Pedn Vounder (locals call it Pedny beach)/Logan rock. If you like walking, just start at Logan rock and keep going, visiting the little beaches, until you reach Lands End.
Lamorna (if you prefer car parks to walking)
You can't really go wrong with any of the coast paths from Lamorna, on to Lands End and round to St Ives. After you round Lands End, you're in Poldark country and it's all just stunning.

St Ives is great for a beer and pasty while the kids play on the beach, but it'll be packed in Summer.
All the paths are easily reachable from the coast road and all the secluded beaches will reward a little excursion down the cliff.

My partner here, who's a complete technophobe loves Lightroom.
If you're used to the old pixel editors then LR might seem really odd, but if you're coming from a clean slate, it appears to be completely intuitive

Pay attention at the back - it doesn't have the same extensive parameters or range, so it's very clumsy.

Can't you paint on all those changes in Lightroom?
White balance, noise reduction etc?
Yes, to a limited degree, and I do. But Photoshop is so much better at the detailing.
The adjustment brushes in LR don't have as much control as the equivalent panel of sliders. Noise for instance.

Just to add to the confusion.
After developing in Lightroom and opening in PS for the fancy stuff, I often find myself opening Adobe Camera Raw filter to do something like white balance or noise reduction then using the history brush to selectively paint in these effects.
I basically can't really do without all of them at the moment
Here's the latest example (it's what they wanted; 4 tie rods made up from one) - in and out of all three programs. But saving back to Lightroom.

Yep, the 10-17.
When I bought my K10D in 2007 I bought one lens - the fisheye
Never regretted it; always come home with an interesting photo.
I later bought the 16-45 but it was a bit meh, so I sold it.
Here's the 15 f4 shot. Focused on the white house, centre.

I've just done a test with the 15 Ltd, the Tamron 17-50, the DA12-24 and the Fisheye. All as close as poss to 15, wide open and at f11.
The Tamron had a slight advantage in reach but lost that advantage by being f2.8.
All the lenses were sharp in the middle two thirds at f11 with the 15Ltd being noticeably softer at the edges. The 12-24 was sharp right across the frame and easily wins that contest.
Wide open, the Tamron wins by a comfortable margin despite being the only f2.8 - very useable and sharp.
all the others are quite soft, but still perfectly useable. They all suffer from CA wide open at the edges but the Ltd has the least.
My own comments about rendering nicely are not apparent in this test; they all look pretty much identical. Maybe I just take the Ltd to nicer places
The fisheye stands out as a incredibly versatile lens, capable of minimal distortion as well as dramatic distortion (fab for skies) and on my reason trip to Morocco, was one of my most used lenses.
I wouldn't dismiss any of these lenses.
For stars and dark venues it's the Tamron
For paid work (with enough light) it's the 12-24
For personal work it's the 15 or fishy, not least because they will go in your pocket!
I think Pentax create lenses with definite character; sharpness, especially at the edges, is not always important and can lead to other benefits.
