I can't make my mind up which is which. You would think the green one was an emerald, but they seem more delicate with clear wings. I think the other is a 'beautiful damioselle'.
Where's Danniel Bridge when you need him...

Very nice compositions - such a difficult thing in the woods. I started choosing but easier to choose the ones I don't like so much. So that would be er.... 11 and not so keen on the dense shadows of 5.
Lovely tho', and not at all cliched (as mine tend to be )

Thank you guys
Bill, I was thinking the same thing about number 1 looking cutely inquisitive. I think this will be the first to hit the printer, but number 3 was the first to be processed.
The profile shots were an attempt at getting more in focus when I normally prefer head-on and low-down for this sort of thing

Took the Zed and 120mm macro for a walk and developed some new muscles leaning out to capture these beautiful creatures
I under-exposed 1 stop, to speed up the shutter and kill-off the highlights a little. Lifting shadows is one of the Zed's killer blows. Hopefully they still look natural? Gaudy, of course, but that's what people want generally.
I'll risk just uploading them to the forum, but hopefully they will still look ok.
Got about 80% keepers; here are 3 that stood out for me. Going to have to see at least one printed huge...

When I rescue my daughter from spiders in her bedroom, I secretly release them indoors again. on a pot plant or something. Don't tell her
Don, thanks, I need to come and visit

Still unsure I should get rid of this, so it's now or never I think folks.
So to recap. virtually unused, still in warranty DA12-24. Price drop - £475

Thanks guys.
Oh he ran at me a couple of times I realised the ol' reactions are still there I can tell you. No idea at that point if it was dangerous. I assumed he wasn't interested in me, so I got as close as poss, but that didn't stop me jumping like a little girl when it moved lol (I didn't actually scream, honest)

Ah yes, it does appear to be a huntsman. Thanks
