A friend of mine has some very expensive Canon telephoto lenses which I can borrow. Is there an easy way to mount these on my K10D?
I assume not, as there would be less moaning about sports lenses for Pentax if it was possible.
I am not expecting anything but manual focus and stop down metering, but I'm used to that.

Hefty1 - yes I stopped at 6 - still nice and fast. The boys in the office have CS2 but I won't use it. I use the Pentax software to open raws if I need to.

I would like to be able to use something different but my clients (I'm in the design industry) all use Adobe and with my knowledge of PS it is still the best kit for me.

If I want to view, rotate, crop etc I just use Fastsone viewer. Google it, it's brilliant and doesn't recompress JPEGs or ruin the exif.

That's the sort of idea I'm after.

I had a root around on the net and could find nothing for Lightroom for less than 204 quid. What I need is someone in Canada willing to buy it on my behalf at US prices. I have no problem spending money on good software but there's a principle here and Adobe should be ashamed of themselves for ripping us off.

I bought my first version of PS 2.5 in '92 and have had to watch it getting more gimmicky and yet labourious each year.
I actually need to upgrade everything which is annoying because I hate CS3 the best PS interface was Vers. 3 after that everything seemed to turn into a 2 click operation it has got worse and used more memory ever since. CS3 has an absolutely ludicrous interface and takes about a fortnight to load...

I don't think you can buy online from a foreign supplier if you are using a UK card but I am hoping you know different?

On the whole, UK prices are half as much again as US prices. (for instance)
And I for one, simply won't be ripped off like this - I'm pathalogically incapable of handing my money over if I think someone is fleecing me! I'd rather go without

I agree, I figured the card examples I posted were a good make, as they are a recognised brand, but the examples I posted may may be a little slow that's all.
eBuyer also do different makes and faster cards at low prices, and I can recommend the store.

The cards I bought yesterday before I saw this ad were Extreme III 4GB with the reader. but I still feel I just threw away a tenner...enough for a couple of old Manual lenses

Right! I've done it. one Gadget Infinity V2s Trigger and two V2s receivers.

There is still a load of ambiguous info about voltages but I figure I can always buy a more appropriate slave to go with the Metz if my cheapo slave doesn't fire with this receiver.
I haven't the faintest idea what my 99p wonder flash is! there's no name on it... the makers must have been embarrassed So far I have only popped it by hand for macro work.

Incidentally, the hassle I had with the Chinese eBay seller was a lack of communication - I wanted to confirm they would dispatch everything together and not try and bust me for postage of the various items. (eBay shops are really crap, you have to buy everything separately and hope the seller will notice and dispatch together) anyway he refused to reply and slapped a non payment thingy on me but I got it overturned.

yes I might buy one of those light triggers for when light can cut it. But it is the radio triggers that offer the best solution.
Sometimes I just want to be able to leave a flash under a bush or round a corner and radio is the way to go.
the cheap slaves I have don't have any PC connections. we're talking 99p plus P&P!

for the radio triggers there's loads of confusing info about voltage, Version numbers and mixing them up and what versions work with what flash. I just need a kit sold in UK to cover my K10, new Metz and maybe 2 old slaves.

Yes I need radio triggers. Studio distance will do but longer would certainly be fun.
I have a Metz 58 af-1 which is great, but light triggered flash has a number of limitations, notably - blind spots.
But I want to get creative and fire 2 or 3 flashes (cheap manual slaves) so I need radio triggers.

been tying to avoid a dumb question but can't find a definitive answer anywhere, I just go round and round.

I have minimal budget and need to control two flashes by radio.
The eBay ads are really confusing and I have just had a load of hassle from a seller in China so I need to start again, preferably in the UK.
