Canon lens on Pentax

A friend of mine has some very expensive Canon telephoto lenses which I can borrow. Is there an easy way to mount these on my K10D?
I assume not, as there would be less moaning about sports lenses for Pentax if it was possible.
I am not expecting anything but manual focus and stop down metering, but I'm used to that.

I don't think that there is a mounting adapter for it. So it will probably not work.

For starters the canon mount is larger so it won't fit into the throat of the pentax body Thus you would lose infinity focus

ah well, worth asking, he has said I can borrow the 1D also, but he is 100 miles away so I would be in for a lot of driving if I had to keep giving the body back every day. whereas the lens is just a door stop most of the time.

Hows the Bigma Clarky? I don't think I've heard anything bad about them, apart from a few gripes about weight and needing a tripod

I haven't used it as much as i would like but from what i have done with it i am very happy.
yes it is heavy and a tripod is advisable if you are using it at the long end.
I hope to get away in a couple of weekends time and give it a good work out.

there are widely available adaptors to put K mount lenses on the canon EF mount, but not the other way around. The canon registration distance is too short.

Its not really possible, something to do with the diameter of the mount,

Canon= Big Hole
Pentax= Smaller (but much more refined ) hole

Canon users on the other hand have no problem aquiring an adaptor to use Pentax lenses.

May I suggest you send him to the store for some paint....and while he's out you fill his room with cement?
