I'm approaching 2100 on my K-m and it's less than a year old!

What's worse, I know someone who works in Toro Rosso's wind tunnel. I suspect they'll be doing a lot of all-nighters until they work out precisely what let go and redesign it.

I think the video might be an improvement on the song. She wasn't bad looking then...

I like ELO and think I've had a narrow escape by not buying that version of Xanadu - the one I have is the 2000 remix with Jeff Lynne on vocals which sounds a lot better!

A bit more serious than two wheels falling off. It looks as though he started braking and his front suspension completely disintegrated. I know these cars are on a knife edge between strength and lightness but it sounds as though they've come down on the wrong side.

The Home Hub is ok if you hack it so that BT can't change settings without your permission. Basically as delivered you don't have access to the super user account, but you can get this by downloading the config file from the Hub, changing a couple of lines in a text editor, and then uploading the modified file. The Hub will still work perfectly as a wireless router/modem and you now have full control.

We're moving from BT as soon as the contract runs out, as they have failed to offer us an upgraded Hub (even though we pay exactly the same subscription as new customers who are getting them, repeated complaints during their calls to us get no response), they promised a digital TV box which never materialised, and the "Phorm" web tracking software they have been muttering about using is an outrageous invasion of privacy. I object to the idea of my web history being sold to advertisers so that they can target me. It's bad enough having a government which is desperate to gather all the data they can on us without unaccountable private companies getting in on it too!

A couple of test shots:

and a heavy crop from the above:

I think that might even have been wide open at f3.5! I leave this lens on the camera now as for general use it's absolutely perfect.

The K series version is thought to be even better, but they hardly ever come up for sale. You can usually pick up the M 28mm f3.5 for about £50 in decent condition.

The M 28mm f2.8 is worth keeping, although the f3.5 version is a better lens (much sharper).

I'm pretty sure that ELO also recorded a version without her, as I have an album of theirs with that song on which all the voices are male (presumably the band). Sounds a lot better!

Personally I'd rather watch the Icelandic volcano than the politicians. The volcano has yet to make any campaign promises that it won't keep.

No more 100watt lamps indeed...
See, my theory is that this government and their media buddies blame things on "Europe" in order to avoid copping the political flak for stuff that they want to do, but they know we won't like.

Currently resisting the following ebay finds:

An ME SE, some scuffs on the chrome but they're not exactly common and I like the brown leather...

A Pentax-M 100mm macro, cheap by the standards of this lens but with "haze". Unfortunately it's a little bit too expensive by my standards to be worth buying with a view to stripping it and cleaning it!
