The bird feeders near the house have been quite busy today due to the badweather.

And as a bonus I finally managed to get a decent pic of my favourite bird.

I agree with DrOrloff a very natural and happy moment captured and to be treasured.

Great set of pics of one of my favourite subjects, as you say nearly impossible to do in the UK, even photographing your own child at a school event is frowned upon.

A couple of candid portraits from the local boating lake taken with the K-30 and DA 50-200 WR kit lens.

Great set but the pheasant one is a cracker.

Thank you David and yes it is, I cannot understand why the K-30 is not more popular given how good a tool it is for the price.

Thanks Renster, it was about 15 feet away and taken with the DA 55-300mm @ f6.3. Taken in Raw and processed in LR4.

Thanks guys, the female sparrow hawk stayed a good 30 min while she devoured her meal. The problem was it was a dark day and she stayed at the base of the privet hedge, still I was quite pleased with it as it was a ISO 10,000 shot and taken through a window, just glad it was the K30 which handled it well.

One from the garden yesterday.

Not one of the regular birds we get at the bird table.

A Sparrow Hawk with it's prey.
