Does anyone know what improvements exactly have been made to the MkII 18-55?

I've just taken delivery of an 18-55 MkII and I already have the MkI so I'll be able to do some comparisons. If I notice anything I'll let you know......I meant the same thing, really.

You should see www.dpreview.com's review of the Pentax 16-45. That really is disappointing. They must have got a bad sample.

I've noticed that on my Mk I on widest angle there tends to be a drop off in light towards the corners. It showed up first on blue sky shots where the sky seems to be a deeper blue in the corners.
Will the MkII that I have on order be better?

I'm considering a purchase of some considerable cost here - maybe as much as £800, which is a lot for me. It is certainly not a joke.
