Price reductions on the lenses, both in near-mint condition, both excellent build quality:

User reviews are here (a very high proportion, 97%, recommend this lens):

M 75-150 f4
£35+ postage
One user puts it neatly: ‘ The pentax M75-150 is a very interesting zoom lens. I'm not usually a big fan of older manual zooms as the IQ and image rendering tend to be really poor on them. This lens is absolutely an exception.’

The two lenses are in excellent cosmetic condition. Likewise, the compact flash.

Everything works as it should on the lenses, and there is no fungus, separation, or significant dust. The compact flash, which can be used on any camera with a hotshoe, takes 2AA batteries (not supplied).

For the 75-150, I'm asking for £45

This is a superb, fully working example of the ME Super (prod. 1979-84), with a 50mm/1.7 Pentax lens included in the sale. It is almost as though the camera had just been lifted off the original retailer's shelf. The one, minor blemish is some marks on the battery access plate (see photo); otherwise, the camera's appearance is nearer mint than might normally be expected for a 40-year-old camera. And (just to be clear) it has not been 'refurbished' in any way. New batteries have been inserted and the metering works as intended, as does the shutter. The lens shows no separation or fungus or significant dust. Included are a Pentax camera case and (if wanted) The Pentax ME Super Book of Photography (Hamlyn, 1982).

OIEO £100 considered (+£8.95 Royal Mail Special Delivery)

Is the following survey the best we have (provided the results are treated as indicative rather than gospel)?

https://www.pentaxforums.com/articles/photo-articles/pentax-sdm-failure-survey-r...

SDM implementation on certain lenses does (did? — the survey was five years ago) seem to be questionable. The 16-50, 17-70: and 50-135 stand out, not in a good way. There are all sorts of cautions and caveats that need to attach to the figures, but the results of the limited survey don’t strike me as inherently implausible.

Congratulations!

As a young teenager in the mid 1960s, I came second in a competition run by Chandris Lines. The first prize was a Mediterranean cruise for two; but I came second, so mine was for just one. My parents nobly skrimped and saved for additional fares so I could enjoy the prize! (Being a teenager, I doubt I appreciated the gesture as much as I should.)

The winning shot was taken with a Halina Paulette Electric, not a Pentax, so I can’t post it here. The standard of prize from cruise companies may have declined over the past 50 years, but (I can assure you) the standard of winning shot has improved immeasurably.
