I thought I would just tag on to this thread.

I was recently talking to someone who has a little more information about up and coming Pentax/Ricoh stuff and they accidentally let slip that the K3 III is coming, understandably they did not want to give any additional information.

Unfortunately, I hadn't been able to find any recent rumors on the on possible specs. etc.

I'm hoping it'll be a nice upgrade to the K3 II and backup to the K1-II.

I wonder if you could offer some advice? I recently purchased the D-FA 100mm Macro WR lens from a well-known supplier, the supplier is offering a free UV and polarising filter with the lens.

When I open the polarising filter I noticed lines running across the lines. I emailed the supplier and they sent a second filter, but this also has lines running across it, but they not exactly the same.

I have had polarising filters before and have never noticed any lines or marks within the filter. I assume these are manufacturing faults?

As the filters were free, I'm not overly fussed but a free filter worth £20 helped sway my purchase decision

My current backup setup is:

Working drive is 3Tb fast HDD which gets backup an internal 4Tb HDD daily and weekly to a 4Tb external drive.

Low memory maybe due to the swap/page file being disabled?

Algernon, Intel are faster when comparing older generations of CPUs, but with new Ryzen chips there isn't a lot in it now. You get quite a lot of bang for your bucks with the Ryzen 5/7 chips.

Good SSD/M.2 (Samsung etc), RAM 16Gb+ and graphics card.
