Hello, I'm advised I've accumulated too much film camera stuff, so I need to rationalise. In the first instance I have and MZ-S complete with BG-10 battery grip for AA batteries and improved handling which is incredibly rare. Camera comes with original manual but has no retained rubbers for the cable release or for the BG, and does not have a eyecup on the viewfinder (K-5, K-7 etc. etc. fits fine so easily replaced)
BG-10 comes boxed with manual and is in as new condition.
I'd like to sell together, asking £320 for the lot, but appreciate that someone with an MZ-S might be desperate for a BG-10, so seperately the price is £200 for MZ-S and £140 for the BG. Buyer to pay postage and any fees. I accept BT and Paypal.

I've got a cheap MZ-6 to list later, asking £25+p&p with batteries/strap/manual, fully working, light marks to silver body and a cheap FA 28-90mm f3.5-5.6, which has more silver loss but clean optics and fully functional for £25 + p&p.

Yes MZ-S is using screw drive, you'll notice it's no longer silent. I've had this lens with a lazy AF in SDM after prolonged non use, put it back on the DSLR you might find you've woken up the SDM
Best regards

I was fortunate to have the Pentax 18-135mm and Sigma 18-250 HSM at the same time and did some non scientific testing with both at the same time, my feeling was that I'd really appreciate the extra reach on a walk around but for me the 18-135 handles much better and is smaller. The 18-135 is not much bigger than the 18-55mm kit lens and for me makes it very easy to carry around, as well as being WR and quiet focusing. With these types of lenses there are compromises with image quality but I'm generally happy with the images I get, but it is slow at the longer end.
Someone wanting one of these lenses for indoor use would be better off with a faster wider zoom such as a 17-70 f2.8 but I can recommend the 18-135mm as an outdoor walk around.
I've had a 55-300mm too and I've sold that, AF was slow and hunted a lot and I was very disappointed with image quality at the long end, I think the new HD lens has at least the opportunity to improve on the original performance. So may be an option.

That'll be a trade in with £100 added I imagine, there is a fair amount of markup on this stuff prior to retail.
I've asked about one or two prices for p/ex and in all cases selling via eBay and after fees would still provide a healthy differential. I had a lens which SRS were selling on eBay for in excess of £550 and the p/ex offered was around £300.
This kind of thing works when you've got an old SFX or SF7 film body which can be picked up almost for the price of p&p and you trade it in for £200, I certainly wouldn't be looking to move anything of high value. Find anything knackered that's Pentax that you own and offer that would be my advice. Hang on to a K20d as a spare body.

Can I just ask the most obvious questions, the files that you took to the print shop, what size were they? You should be able to check by right click on the file and check properties and click on details tab and look for image size. Second what size did you request to print I can't see this mentioned? Let us first check if in fact the attainable ppi that can be obtained regardless of settings.
Best regards

Sometimes maligned the 18-135mm WR, but out with just this lens yesterday and really enjoyed using it. The weather wasn't great but I didn't worry, for me with cold hands it was a relief not to be changing lenses.
Lots of nice shots taken, lots of memories captured, all taken hand held on the fly and some lightroom pp when we got home in the warm.

I'm with Snappy on this, around £800 it's interesting and comparable price wise with Canon 70d and Nikon 7100d which I know we all don't see as direct competitors but will be by people not tied in with lenses.
There is only one way the price goes on these so whether it is January or March 2014 it's going to hit this sort of price in my opinion.
