that's true jon, somehow I don't know why I seem to prefer the pentax one, even though meaning that i might have to add some cash to the trade....=P=P=P

thanks for the tips matt, I did read about that but I'd probably prefer the versatality of having just one lens that does most, instead of a few ones that i could change between, especially when I might well be in quite a deserted environment. If I could afford it I'd happily own both, but I couldn't....=P
I've tried chris, I think he's only got new ones in! =(
so I'm still looking out for the swap...

Only just recently purchased this 16-45mm from another forum member, but now a travelling opportunity crept up and I'll need something with a longer zoom to bring along to save some weight!
bit gutted to let go of it, but would like to swap for a petnax 17-70mm f4....(Could possibly add some cash towards it to make it sensible...)

cheers guys...

I know, it isn't worth much, so if you need it just make me a sensible offer =)
all optics are clear, in fact it hasn't seen much use at all so it looks very new still.

hmmmm.... yea i think i might go for the koods, really just wondering how much difference the wide angle holder and the normal one would make....
tempted to get a nd kit from premier ink...

hmmm, lots of advise and useful too!
jon, so I guess the Hitech ones would also fit in a kood holder??

the widest i've got is the 16-45mm...and I've been told by someone that I could get a wide angle holder but that only holds one filter? Part of the appeal is also that I can use multiple filters..
I don't do much street photography, at least I don't specialise in it so I wouldn't worry too much about that, I spend more time on the mountains, and I only take filters on an easy day out, if it's a hard day then I'll go for bare minimal options...
The UV filter was to protect the lens in my mind?? (might be wrong, pleaseee correct me)
Also got told that hitech and kood filters are compatible?
I just don't know where to start from....very confused

Don't really know where to post this, so this might be a good place...
I've now got a few lenses and find that I'm somehow quite sick of buying and carrying different sized filters for each lens, so I'm thinking about changing to a cokin P or kood filter system, as it sounds like the filters are all interchangeable, and all the bits I'll need is specific ring size holders for different threaded lenses??
Anyone has any good advise on how to utilise these filter systems and which ones to get? and should I still leave a UV filter on my lenses if I change to the cokins??
also....any ideas where they'll be cheaper =P
cheers guys
