mmm...this might become a slight problem as he isn't carrying anything apart from his laptop bag onto the plane and won't take more (he's injured and I don't want him to take anything extra) So the film will have to go into the big luggage...I've been told it should be fine....fingers crossed?!

it's only because I've got a friend going home to Hong Kong and i've managed to get another mate to help me get some cheap film that I can't really find here.
few rolls of agfa and solaris, all much cheaper than anything in the UK even at its cheapest!

what about new, unused film going through the check-in luggage then?

it's not the best job done in the world, but again, the lens functions perfectly and in fact is a very good copy optically.
still for sale

Here you go, again, camera flash + macro mode make the stains look really bad.

Might sound silly but have heard various things about film and travelling on planes, when they go through the scanners.
does it actually damage the film or has anyone had experience with it??

Selling a smc-f 28mm f2.8, optically perfect, no dust/fungus, clean blades, AF is working perfectly.
It has some cosmetic issues though as the previous owners have left a glue stain on the lens body (not glass) where they glued the plastic back to the lens body. Doesn't affect any mechanics or the optical quality of the lens.
Selling as I have the 28mm f3.5 and I'm happy with just one 28mm prime.
Will put some pics up later
Asking for 125GBP posted to the UK via RMSD
only open to very close offers for this one i'm afraid.

I thought I'd just mention this as I've just tried this place and they did a pretty good job for a reasonable price, I think cheaper than Boots that is.
