I use The Darkroom UK or Peak Imaging. Neither are cheap but the quality is excellent. I am in the process of trying the Ilford lab for BW but so far they seem very slow. The Darkroom UK normally turn things around very quickly indeed.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

I've heard good things about Peak Imaging too, and will probably be using them when I can afford to try a couple of rolls of colour 120 film.
Whichever lab Boots use for slide film isn't bad. A bit slow but the results are decent, and given film, processing and postage come in at under £10 you can't really go wrong.

hey
what is your standard process? do you usually get the film developped in 6x4? and then if there is a good one you might want to get a enlarged?
i think in the past there was a cheap way to do it, as like printing on 3x2 or so which was big enough to check whether the photo is sharp/good and then you would just re-develop the good ones..
i havent been to a lab for film development for about 7 years, just wondering what is out there. First time shooting with a film camera and I forgot how expensive it might become!
thanks - the company you mentioned are high street or is that going through the internet (i.e ship the film!?)

The Darkroom UK are based in Essex and I ship it to them. You can download a postage label from the net so you don't have to pay the postage. I get 6x4 prints and a CD then if there is anything I want to print big re-scan the neg myself.
Best wishes, Kris.

I can beat those 'Process Only' Prices -- I do B&W for several members of Forums -- £1-50 a roll, 120, 127 or 35mm I do NOT do E6 slide or 'APS','Instamatic' or 110 cartridge films though. Send me a message if interested.
