Well you sure travelled the island if you are now in Tobermory and you visited Iona today too.

Hope to get back there next year and maybe a week on Skye as well. Fond memory of Tobermory was finding the strawberry sponge in the bakers. Sat outside by the harbour in the rain stuffing it down the pudding chute.

Can`t comment on anything other than Pentax but for me the K20 ergonomics were fine and the K5 is great. Can`t halt progress so it will be interesting to see what comes along. I upgraded from one model of phone to a newer version and it`s much the same just faster.

Good choice, I use one on a K5 and the AF is well fast too.

Nice choice Gareth, as Dave said. Many folk had one of these at some time including myself. Had it for years and the only problem was a main bearing that rumbled but an easy and cheap diy fix.

Graduated to a Suzuki GS 500 which was a real joy, (like a big brother to the Honda) cheap reliable and a lot of fun 21000 miles later along came the Royal Enfield Bullet 65. One pot of 499cc pure vibration. One firing stroke every other lamp post but more smiles per gallon than anything I`ve ever owned. It turns more 70 year old heads than any modern bike.

Just remember that everyone else out there is trying to kill you including wildlife. Have fun and many happy miles.

I never leave the house without me Swiss Army Chainsaw I lose it so many times at work that the other guys in our warehouse know that look on me face. "Cedric`s put his knife down somewhere." It`s fine until I use it `cos its clipped on the high vis with a karabiner. Now, if only Victorinox made phones.

4G connectivity, 8mp Pentax/Ricoh camera, scissors, file, two blades, Android platform with Flash Player. bottle opener and corkscrew...... Oh No! I were dreamin again.

In my opinion when it comes to cameras I don`t have a problem with choice. Now though I am up for a new phone and the choice is more than bewildering! Present one is the original Galaxy S 19000. So today we learn that Flash Player is being dropped from Android. Are the cocoa tins on a length of string still available?

Had the Enfield MOT`d this morning. First time it had turned a wheel for a couple of years. Found a cracking "Old style" garage in a local village. Was full of memories, Series Land Rover, BSA 650 lightning and a batch of old timers doing what old timers do. Lucky fella that owns it, his missus came out with a brim full mug of tea despite he had not taken back the previous days dirties.

I lost three fingers.

That is I lost three fingers of red eye over the sofa! Poured a glass, set it down beside me on the sofa then sat nice n comfy in the corner and promptly knocked it over. Wife was surprised I didn`t slurp it up.

Is this a sign of things to come????

yup the 150-500 is quite heavy. So I had a cunning plan to use a nylon toe strap from a bike. Attached to camera bag the loop can be quickly changed to get a good fit. So, camera strap around neck and the tripod mount on the Sigma looped into the toe strap and the weight is distributed through the bag straps. It works and leaves the camera always ready.
