Well, I wouldn`t part with my K5 or K30 and lens collection but! I like to share and I particularly like a pivoting screen. So I bought an X5 as a take to work point and shoot and it`s not bad at all but I want quick share and nothing I have will do that. Sadly Pentax don`t seem to be moving along that route either so I now have Samsung NX300 with a collection of lenses and boy oh boy does that thing work fast. Connecting to my smart phone is almost instant too so I can email pix to my work colleagues within seconds from anywhere I can receive a phone signal. I also have an adaptor to fit my K mounts.

Mike, my faith in the quack was totally blown away when I received a form asking if I wanted to allow other parts of the No Hope Service. I declined `cos when I looked at a sample of my notes it would seem I had a vasectomy at 21 before I had 2 kids, a car crash that caused serious injuries. Nah not me Doc.

Replied to a rather surly nurse at the surgery after a "Well Man" check that I was not overweight but I was under height! Not amused was she. Just to prove that GP`s don`t listen, I was having a telephone conversation with one who was angry I`d had a blood test as they only give blood tests to regular takers of medication. Yours truly has been on Statins for several years now which I pointed out. Dopey quickly changed the subject to weight. Hows the weight he asks? Well I`m clinically obese is my reply. Dopey: Oh good.

Hi Phil, I had a K10 and a K20. I upgraded the K10 for a K5 (Kept it as a spare body. The K20 was never a favourite so I traded it in for a K30. The K5 is an amazing camera, the video quality is very sharp even in quite low light. The image quality at high ISO levels is to be seen. However the K30 has a real edge on the AF speed and I wonder if you`d be better with that than a K5 for motor sport. Maybe someone with a K5ii can offer some thoughts.

What is the point of life? Why are we here? We`re born we grow we work we procreate we die and so it all starts again for another generation. Just saw a snippet on the news where a bloke gets on a bus and says "We are all going to Hell."

"No," says the driver "We`re going to Ilford." Nuff said that`s why we`re here - humour.

One old boy in hospital was asked if he came in to die. "No" he said "I came here yesterday."

Just playing about this afternoon with K30 and Sigma 150-500. Suddenly a worm like thingy has appeared but it`s not consistent. The lens was not removed between shots. In desperation I checked the sensor and it`s spotlessly clean. I took another shot of the sky at the same focal length and nothing.Comment Image

Gwynn, sad and difficult times ahead for all. Remember you are among friends on here. Don`t reckon there are many that are untouched by times like this. We need someone to come up with a virtual hug. Come on you developers!
